FAQ — Disposable Paper Placemats
Frequently asked questions
What are disposable paper placemats?
Disposable paper placemats are printed paper table mats you use for a meal and then toss — no washing, ironing, or storing. Tavola placemats are printed like an art book: offset CMYK on heavyweight 100# gloss paper, sized 17.5" × 12", sold as tear-off pads of 40 sheets in four coordinated designs (10 of each).
How many placemats come in a pad?
Every Tavola pad has 40 tear-off placemats: four coordinated designs, ten sheets of each, so a table of four never repeats a setting during a dinner.
What size are Tavola placemats?
17.5 × 12 inches (445 × 305 mm) — sized to frame a full place setting without crowding the table.
What happens if something spills on a paper placemat?
The spill leaves with the sheet. Tavola placemats are single-use paper, not a scrubbable surface — the point isn't that the mat survives the mess, it's that the mess goes in the bin with the mat. No soaking, no pretreating, no laundry.
Are paper placemats good for dinner parties?
They're made for them. A pad sets a styled table in under a minute, the four rotating designs keep the table interesting, and there's no post-party laundry. Popular for dinner parties, holidays, showers, and everyday family meals.
What is The Tavola Drop?
The Tavola Drop is Tavola's monthly placemat subscription: take a 60-second taste quiz at drop.tavola.store and receive a sealed envelope of 40 placemats in four secret designs curated to your taste — $24/month with free US shipping, with a three-drop minimum. A one-time envelope is $30.
How much do Tavola placemats cost?
$42 per pad of 40 — about $1.05 per place setting — or $24/month through The Tavola Drop subscription.
Do you ship internationally?
Orders ship flat via ground within the US; expedited options are available at checkout. International shipping is calculated at checkout — free shipping applies to US addresses on Drop Club orders.
What is your return policy?
Each pad is printed to order, so returns aren't accepted — except for manufacturing defects, which we replace after seeing a photo, no back-and-forth.
